What you need for a Wind Generator
A wind turbine is not necessarily suitable for all locations or all people. We make every effort to ensure that our customers have appropriate locations and are totally at ease with their decision...
Before considering a wind turbine further, you will need three crucial resources to ensure success.
-
Land
The Evance R9000 is a powerful machine with a rotor diameter of 5.5m (18 feet) and will stands on a monopole tower. It is very quiet in operation, but not completely silent. We therefore recommend it is not normally sited within 75m of neighbouring homes and not within 50m of the owners’ home. BWE noise report. It should also be sited away from any obstacles such as trees and buildings which might obstruct prevailing winds.
- Wind
Good prevailing winds are essential. Annual mean wind speeds should ideally be above 5.0 m/s (10 mph). If you experience lower wind speeds we recommend that you consult with our partners Contact resellers. An approximation of your local wind speed can often be obtained from wind speed atlases on the internet or from local airports or aerodromes.
For UK customers, simply filling in the form on the Contact Us page will present you with the estimated wind speed for your postcode. Give it a try! If your location is near the top of a hill or you live within 10 miles (15km) of the coast, this will improve your wind resource. If you live in a valley or residential area your wind resource will be diminished.
- Investment
A fully installed Evance R9000 is a reasonable investment. Depending on your country and county your outlay can be significantly reduced due to government incentives, tax rebates, feed-in tariffs etc.
A few examples: UK, grants of £2,500 per unit are available for households (£4,000 in Scotland) and Feed-in Tariffs; USA enjoys a 30% income tax credit on the investment; Italy has a generous Feed-in Tariff.
Your local Evance Reseller will advise you in detail about you available grants and incentives, as well as guide you through the benefits and how to sell your excess power generated.
How to buy Evance Wind Generators
The Evance R9000 small wind turbine is ideal for a broad range of applications in rural locations or areas of low population density. Farms, schools, rural homes and businesses are perfect examples...

The following table gives an indication of the amount of energy you can expect from the turbine in a year according to your annual mean wind speed:
| Annual Mean Wind Speed (m/s) | Annual Energy Yield (KWh) |
| 4.0 | 4,739 |
| 4.5 | 6,671 |
| 5.0 | 8,780 |
| 5.5 | 10,977 |
| 6.0 | 13,186 |
| 6.5 | 15,349 |
| 7.0 | 17,423 |
| 7.5 | 19,383 |
| 8.0 | 21,208 |
| 8.5 | 22,888 |
(Please note these annual energy yield figures are based on the actual average wind speed of your site. If you do not have clear, open ground, or there are other obstructions to the wind, your actual average wind speed may be lower than given by estimation tools.)
